Lead singer Shea Halge and bass player Michael Georgieff come from Perth, Western Australia. After their orginial band split up the pair decided to collaborate when they found that their solo music had a common ground. Influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, Cloud Control, Angus and Julia Stone and Bon Iver the start of the Augustines was udner way. After a few months of gigging around Perth as an acoustic duo the pair found that their folk, indie sound would benefit from drums and lead guitar.
